It was three months ago when I started my journey to  App development  internship at  Hasura.io ,  and it seems that I’ve reached to my goal. Following all tasks described in task sheet and updated all my blog post for each specific task now I come to an end, so I guess this one will be last post in the journey. Here are the result of all work I done in past 3 months White Board Brainstorm and Collaborate like it was meant to whiteboard.ditz97.hasura-app.io If this link doesn’t works, kindly ping me on email :  imvpn22@gmail.com

User Feedback & Testing of White Board

As in my previous posts, I’ve described about all screens of my app  White Board.  You can check here — App Screen 1 (UI + Backend Integration) If you are familiar with my previous post and app idea then you know what I did before, otherwise just check my app… medium.com App Screen 2 (UI + Backend Integration) Task 5.1 Hasura Internship. When I completed my app with required functionality as I described in MVP in my first blog post at the beginning of my journey. Idea for an APP | First step to internship This article is about my brainstorming for an idea which can be used an MVP. medium.com Testing and fixing bugs is one of the important part in order to build a successful application. App Screen 2 (UI + Backend Integration)

Image
In my previous post I integrated First screen of my app  Whiteboard  with back-end code. Check it out  App Screen 1 UI+Backend Integration . In this post I am going to tell you how I integrated UI of 2nd screen of my app with database and back-end. Group chat As I told in my previous blog that first screen or the main feature of my app is drawing on a canvas and other users may see that in real time. The next main feature is that users be able to share their thoughts and exchange messages through group chat. UI User interface for group chat is same as shown in the picture. It contains only basic features for now. Will add more feature such as  time of the message . As shown in picture, there are two types of chat bubbles. One with the gray background is for group members, as their username is also present in there. The other one with blue background is for you (the logged in user). When the page is loaded or refreshed, all message from the cu...

App Screen 1 (UI + Backend Integration)

Image
If you are familiar with my previous post and app idea then you know what I did before, otherwise just check out my  White Board App Idea  a nd also check out the  Prototype for White Board . So after setting all things up such as design & database & API request queries, It was time to elaborate all those in code. So first I did was to write the code for the front-end of each screen and after that it was time to integrate them with back-end and database. App’s first screen Here goes the UI of my app’s main screen which comes after successful login or signup. In here you can that the screen is divided into two parts, one for  group chat and other for  whiteboard . I actually integrated two screens in one because it becomes messsy when you need to switch between these two. Now we can chat as well as draw on the same screen, no switching required. For now, I’ll talk about only whiteboard because the chat is another feature so I...

Hasura Data API + Postman Collection

Image
After doing data modelling for my app, I moved to next task in the third week. The task was to learn how to make CRUD queries across all your tables using Hasura Data APIs. My previous blog post is about data modelling for my app, check it out to understand database schema for my app. What is an API Application program interface ( API ) is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. An  API  specifies how software components should interact and  APIs  are used when programming graphical user interface (GUI) components. Hasura provides Data API as well as Auth API on their platform. Before integration of the app with database, first I need to check the APIs and learn how that works. To know more about Hasura Data APIs, refer to this  link . Data service on hasura platform runs as any other service like my app. We need to contact to this data service in order to exchange data to/from the database tables. I...

Data Modelling for White Board app

Image
In the journey of my internship at Hasura, as in the first week I had created the  prototype  for my  app idea  White Board , the next step was to make relational models for my app the first task in third week was to make data models for my app and to add relevant tables using the console UI of local development. http://www.lintao-dashboards.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/ldm930.jpg Data models Data models define the description of data structure and the way data are organized using a database. It define how data is connected to each other and how they are processed and stored inside the system. Data Models are fundamental entities to introduce abstraction in a DBMS. Data model should fulfil the requirements of the for which it is being created, with requirements I mean to visualize the necessary tables and relations between various tables, depending on what are the services app is giving. Once all things about data models are clear, we can proceed ...
